After the defeat of BJP in Jharkhand, a political rift had started in Bihar where elections are due by the end of 2020. It appears that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is planning to break his ties with ruling partner BJP. Though, for public posture Nitish is saying “All is well”
Mr Nitish Kumar is playing his cards very intelligently. Instead of coming forward he had instructed his political aide and vice president of JD(U) Prashant Kishore to attack on BJP.
Prashant Kishore had stated that JD(U) should fight on more seats than BJP, as the formation of government in Bihar took place because of Nitish Kumar and JD(U)s popularity in the last assembly elections. No other party or leader can claim for it.
Political observers feel that JD(U) may break his ties with BJP in the coming months. RJD and Congress again may be their partners. Till then, Prashant Kishore will be in the forefront to make a ground for breaking friendship with BJP. It is also understood that JD(U) has started initial talks with RJDs top leadership.
