Bullets during a political rally kill 32 in kabul

Thirty-two people died during an incident in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan while many others were injured during the terrorist attack. The CEO of Afghanistan had a narrow escape in the incident. Police shot dead two assailants while the Islamic State Group.

The event was attended by opposition leader Abdullah Abdullah. Women and children were among those killed. The event was on the death anniversary of the political leader Abdul Ali Mazari, who was killed by Taliban fighters in the year 1995. The same event was attacked last year as well, but this year’s incident was stated to be intense in which Shias were present in large number.

It is said that minutes before this incident Abdullah Abdullah and other senior leaders had left the place and had they waited for little more time they would have been on the target.

President Ashraf Gani has condemned the incident and stated it was against humanity. The ministry of home later confirmed that all leaders were taken out of the place safely. The incident has exposed the security arrangements and at such a time when the US-Afghanistan pack done recently says foreign forces will move out in two months.

Home ministry spokesperson Nasrat Rahimi said that 32 people have died and 81 are injured. Women and children have also died. Among injured are journalists and cameraman.
