New Delhi: Brijesh Thakus and 18 other people were convicted by the Delhi court on Monday in the alleged sexual and physical assault done with several minor girls in his shelter home in Muzaffarnagar. The additions session judge Saurabh Kulshreshtra 11 persons along with Brijesh Thakur.
The case was booked under POSCO court at Saket complex on February 7 for allegedly murdering 11 girls and other after CBI found skeletons from his shelter home. Tata Institute of Social Sciences reported sexual assault of minors in Muzaffarpur.
The monstrous tale came to light after TISS reported of sexual assault, sexual harassment, drugging of minors, criminal intimidation and so on. He along with other employees from the shelter and even the Bihar State Department of Social Welfare officials were also charged criminal conspiracy, negligence of duty and failure to report assault on their girls.
“The CBI has is trying to shield the real perpetrators or that the leads given by victims regarding role of outsiders was intentionally not probed,” CBI had earlier said in a statement.
