BJP struggles with the self-destructiveness

Indian society is full of diversity. The society is full of cast and religious tussles with intenseness that has in the past changed in to violent struggles. On the other hand this society also vies to touch the high scales of unity and reflects its inclination for the same. This has been observed clearly in the early and later stages of independence struggles. Hindu and Muslims got together leaving behind their own disputes and differences. As Gandhi made the freedom struggle in to a mass movement it united rich and poor, sawarna and Dalits, and made a united effort to throw away British empire.

The recent general elections once again showed this exemplary symbolic unity when on the name of Modi and for Rastrawaad different cast fronts came with the BJP. One can count lakhs of shortcomings in Modi or the BJP but the intellectuals felt this success someway correct as it was having a optimistic message to unite the society to move forward.

Baba Sahed Ambedkar also did a similar effort. He had motivated the then all the castes supposed to be untouchables to come as one by adopting Buddhism. Baba Saheb could not become so popular during his struggle days despite his selflessness, which he became after the VP Singh government announced Bharat Ratna upon him in 1990. After this his name was became a mantra to make and pull down governments in the Indian political scenario.

The contrary is when his memories became so strong in the minds of politicians and people his dream and vision to bring Dalits on a united platform and one identity was sidelined. Kanshiram and Mayawati, who achieved the pinnacle of politics on his name only, did not gave a thought to become Buddhists but continued to give casts equations priority in their speeches for their political gains. Mayawati become chief minister of Uttar Pradesh four times in the name of Ambedkar only. During her tenure as the CM Mayawati gave impetus to take forward the caste based brotherhood committees.

Is it the fate of Indian society? Is Indian society destined to move a step forward and then take two steps back on the issue of making a distinct identity? Had this not been true then during the strong Hindutwa politics the cast politics would not have stood up again.

If the Murder of Pushpendra Yadav in Jhansi is seen with the eyes of social media there has been a spree of posts claiming that ever since BJP government came to power so many Yadavs have been killed in the state. Situation is such that even Yadavs were attracted to stand under the umbrella of Hindutwa. Hence it can be said that Yadavs also made a contribution to bring BJP to power.

Rise in crime particularly the murder and other heinous crimes indicates failure of the government in crime control that should be opposed from all common platforms. But a sketch suggesting eradication of a particular caste can not be accepted.

Murder of Hindu Samaj Party president Kamlesh Tiwari in Lucknow that was done with full planning and has come up as a latest trouble for the state government. Right from the first day this incident is being linked to the murders of Brahmans in the state in the past and a trend is being set to project insecurity among Brahmans in state.

If Yadavs, Brahmins, and other communities are feeling threat perceptions just because they do not have a chief minister of their own community, it is nothing but an irony. This is a false thought which has raised a question mark on the Hindutwa voices.

In a sovereign state it is not possible to make a protection force for a particular caste and it is also not possible to avoid security of a particular caste or castes. But still the Brahmin community is feeling unrest under this very threat perception. This has made the state government to feel the heat. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath in the uproar called upon the family of Kamlesh Tiwari and even decided to accept all the demands of the family that were presented to him in their demand note. But this too went adverse as the mother when she returned back to Sitapur, gave a statement against the CM.

Due to caste system Indian society has developed colonial character which is hard to crack. It is due to this that all efforts to make a separate identity gets dismantled. The caste based organisations are made and promoted by those who have egos related and their ego is fed by such organisations.

Caste based organisations make appeal to vote only the candidates from their own community even if this calls for a blot upon. They make such an appeal even if the candidate is contesting from an opposite party. This is despite the fact that vote should be given on individual decision and thought process. Even in case of crime or felony such organisations stand by the culprit strongly and boldly, without any concern for right or wrong. Such a mindset is severely adverse for political, administrative and constitutional structure.

The BJP is not paying attention on managing these issues. On the one hand it says to reservation and on the other it opposes reservation, in its practical approaches. It says one thing and does the other. It indicates what are its actual intensions for the caste system.

People need to understand if caste system becoming hazardous for the society. The impact of it is self-destructive. The sawarnas gave it a supportive stand to maintain their supremacy over the caste  equations but now it appears as if this has become reason for the infighting between two main within community groups of the sawarnas. The anger that came out from the Brahmin community after the murder of Kamlesh Tiwari is not of one day but it was accumulating from the very first day when the Yogi government came to power. And this anger came out after the Kamlesh Tiwari murder. the saving grace is that the connection of this murderer came from Gujarat. But as the murderers were known to the deceased and it has been proved from the pictures of the incident. But the factor that assailants and deceased knew each other gives the indication that something might still be under the wraps.

The family accused that the murder has a link to some local BJP leaders who had a fear about the platform being prepared by Kamlesh Tiwari for the coming elections. The arrest of assailants will solve the mystery behind the issue.
