Bihar Police Now Holds the Top Spot Among State Government Departments/Institutions on Social Media with the Highest Number of Followers

Due to proactive policing and a zero-tolerance policy against crime, the public’s trust in the Bihar Police is increasing. As a result, Bihar Police has become the most followed government institution on social media platforms in the state, surpassing other departments and institutions.

With approximately 1.31 million followers across Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter), Bihar Police has secured the number one position in the state. The number of followers on these platforms is as follows:Platform

• X (Twitter) | 470K (470,000)

Following Bihar Police in social media presence in the state are the Bihar Board at the second position and the Department of Information and Public Relations, Bihar at the third.

According to a survey by the Quality Council of India (an autonomous body established by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry,

Government of India), 32% of people are aware of the Bihar Police’s social media pages, and among them, 62% follow the official social media platforms of Bihar Police.

Bihar Police Leads in Facebook Followers Among State Government Departments/Institutions

With 712,000 followers on Facebook, Bihar Police leads among all state government departments and institutions. The Department of Information and Public Relations, Bihar holds the second position, while Bihar Board stands third.

Bihar Police Ranks Fifth Nationally Among State Police Forces on Social Media

With over 1.3 million followers across X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, Bihar Police ranks fifth among state police forces in the country. Kerala holds the first position, followed by Uttar Pradesh.

On Facebook alone, Bihar Police ranks third among state police forces with 712,000 followers.

Continuous Growth in Followers Across Bihar Police’s Social Media Platforms

In June alone, the reach of the Bihar Police’s Facebook page was 9.03 million, with an increase of 60,893 followers. The Instagram reach exceeded 2.3 million, with an increase of 10,146 followers. The reach on X (Twitter) also exceeded 2.3 million last month.
