Amitabh Thakur security withdrawn suddenly

The Lucknow police has suddenly withdrawn the security given to ex-IPS officer Amitabh Thakur.

In the aftermath of Mulayam Singh threat in July 2015, Amitabh had approached the Government of India. Ministry of Home Affairs had directed the UP Government on 09 December 2016 that Amitabh and his family had attracted attention and cultivated adverse equations with many politicians, bureaucrats and other powerful people.

Central Government had directed to provide adequate security to him. In compliance of this order, Amitabh was provided State security in December 2016, which has remained with him sine then.

Today his security person Harikesh Bahadur Singh intimated him that he was directed yesterday night to immediately deposit his arms in compliance of Lucknow Police Commissioner directions, saying that his duty with Amitabh was being withdrawn immediately.

Amitabh said the situation was worse today and has called it an act of revenge.
