Tussle and exchange of statements continue between ruling party and the opposition over the CAA, NPR and NRC. A statement by the prime minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah has now been made an issue and they are being challenged.
Modi and Shah have challenged the opposition leaders several times to hold debate over the CAA, NRC and the NPR. On Tuesday also home minister Amit Shah again, while addressing a public rally said the opposition was misleading the masses and called for a debate over the issue.
The opposition leaders have surrounded him after his statement. Leaders from different parties including Kapil Sibal of Congress have challenged Shah for a debate.

Have a debate with me: Asaduddin Owaisi
MP from Hyderabad and chief of All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), Asaduddin Owaisi has been opposing CAA and NPR and NRC since the beginning and now he has given challenge to the home minister to have a debate with him.
Home minister Amit Shah had challenged opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee and Akhilesh Yadav to hold debate over the CAA and now AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has challenged home minister and said, “Why debate with them? Have a debate with me.”

Kapil Sibal for an open debate
Kabil Sibal attacked prime minister and home minister in a press conference on Tuesday over the issue of CAA and NRC. Sibal said that the PM and the home minister say any opposition leader can have debate with them over CAA and NRC but I challenge them that they should debate with me. What will be rules can be decided but the debate should be an open one.
BSP ready to debate on any platform and anywhere
BSP supremo Mayawati too wrote in a tweet saying extremely controversial CAA/NRC/NPR is being opposed in the country particularly by the youths and the troubled central government has given a challenge to the opposition in Lucknow rally, for a debate. The BSP is ready to take this challenge at any platform.
