After the elections in Maharashtra in which Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress formed their government last year in December. NCP leader Sharad Pawar was then questioned whether there will be an investigation into alleged suspicious death of Justice BH Loya.
He then replied to it saying that the government may discuss into the case of CBI Judge BH Loya’S alleged death.
However, in this matter NCP spokesperson and state minister Nawab Malik at a press conference in Mumbai said, ‘If the state government gets enough evidence on the BH Loyas suspicious case if any complaints is received on substantial evidence.’
While, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh have also agreed by giving a hint by saying, “BD Loya case shall be re-investigated if a complaint is received based on substantial evidence.”
The NCP had a three hour meeting headed by leader Sharad Pawar. Pawar said, if any complaint is received in the matter than only a re-investigation will be granted, else there will not be any investigation.”
Justice BH Loya was investigating the high-profile murder case of Saurabuddin Sheikh who was killed in a fake encounter in Gujarat, after which he died due to cardiac arrest on December 1, 2019. He was on his way to attend the wedding of his friends daughter. The Supreme Court later rejected the plea for investigation.
