Now cops have to divulge their property worth

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has issued a news directive for cops in the state. The state government has directed cops to disclose their assets/properties. The officials have to disclose it every year the details of the properties they buy sell or have.

The DGP of the state OP Singh has sent a proposal to the state administration. Under the proposal IPS, PPS, gazetted, non-gazetted officials, will come under the ambit of the government order. The order says at an interval every five year the government staff will be disclosing their assets with their appointing authority.

The property earned by self, the donated ones, or the ones on lease or rent all have to be disclosed along with the ones that were held for short duration also.

It may be mentioned here that till now only the IPS officers only were made to disclose their assets every year and the PPS gave details every five years. Cops have also to give details of the property belonging to spouses or any one among their dependents as well.

The details have to be submitted every year in the beginning of the calendar year till January 15 mandatorily. The PPS in the police force and non-gazette officers have to do this every five years.
