Trials for LPL season 1 begins on December 26

Cricket Association Lucknow today announced that the trials for the maiden edition of the Lucknow Premier League (LPL) will begin on December 26. This will be first time that day/night trials will be conducted with white ball.

A decision to this effect was taken at the LPL’s technical committee meeting, which was chaired by former Team India cricketer and Uttar Pradesh skipper, Gyanendra Pandey, who also happens to be the brand ambasdor of the prestigious event being managed by the Quad Sports.

The meeting also announced about the start of the online registration form of LPL. Players aged between 14 to 30 years are eligible to fill the form. Only Players who have represented the state earlier and are above 30 are also eligible to fill the form. The last date of registrations is December 20.

It is learnt that the first edition of the LPL is supposed to be held in February/March with the participation of six different teams. They are: Lucknow Challengers, Lucknow Panthers, Lucknow Aces, Lucknow Lions, Lucknow Nawabs and Lucknow Strikers.
