The way Indian betters betted today it was really shameful. We have not seen such a poor display of batsmanship in many years.
Earlier in the first match we have lost to South Africa by 30 runs and in fact could not achieve a simple target of 123 on a spinning track.
The second test was played at Guwahati where wicked was good for the batsman but here again our batsman faltered against the pace attack in the first inningd and in the second innings we surrendered against a spinner.
The record breaking defeat by 408 runs not only created a new record and also broken the heart of miillions of cricket fans.
After the retirement of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma we have infused young talented players in the team but their performance was sometimes very good but on many occasions they failed misrably. Nitesh Reddy came into the limeLight when he got a beautiful hundred against Australia at Melbourne but other than that he has not proved his worth.
This happened to Dhruv Jurel also when he shown promise in the earlier matches but after that this hard working cricketer from Agra failed to capitalise his permanent place in the Indian team. The inclusion of Sai Sudarshan was also not satisfied. All the three betters simply played below par cricket and disappointed us with their poor performances. They are likely to be dropped in the next test series or otherwise they perform exceedingly well in the domestic matches
Now the time has come that we should make drastic changes in the team and players should be selected on the basis of their performances in Ranji Trophy matches.
They should be compelled to play in the remaining Ranji Trophy matches for their respective states so that they get necessary exposure for the days game. The next test series will be played against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka after 10 months and therefore we should prepare our team keeping in view the conditions prevailing in the host country.
It will be better for Gautam Gambhir to resign from the important post otherwise he should be shunted out by BCCI immediately.
If BCCI does not remove him as coach of the Indian team then it will be better we play against Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan and similar type of countries which have poor background of cricket so that we can improve our image and get the necessary record breaking performances.
