Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has vowed to defeat and remove those who troubled farmersin the coming assembly elections.
Yadav who is also the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh where 7-phase elections have been announced for 403 assembly seats, took ‘Anna Sankalp’ (food pledge).
Addressing a press conference with Tajinder a farmer from Lakhimpur Monday, Akhilesh said if his government comes to power farmers will get free electricity and loan without interest along with insurance and pension.
Minutes before announcing this at the press meet Akhilesh took the ‘Anna Sankalp’ or pledge with foodgrain in hands, pledge saying he would defeat and remove BJP from power.
“We take the Anna Sankalp that those who did injustice to farmers , we shall defeat and remove that BJP,” he said while asking people to vote against BJP and also take the Anna Sankalp.
Akhilesh who has said that election manifesto of Samajwadi Party will come only after BJP releases its manifesto, said MSP for all crop will decided and payment will be received by farmers within 15-days.
We would declared how we will make this happen in our manifesto, said Akhilesh Yadav.

Akhilesh also tweeted a video of BJP workers taking out a road show in Amroha and demanded action. Samajwadi Party was served an Election Commission notice last week for violating Covid safety protocols.
Yadav demanded the top poll body act uniformly against all parties that disobey Covid protocols as announced both by the government and itself. “There is a complete ban on the office and programmes of the Samajwadi Party, but the Chief Minister who has a few days left and the BJP candidate from Amroha are openly making fun of the Model Code and Covid guidelines,” he said.
