Lucknow: Former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has demanded the state government to keep need of the people in focus during lockdown. he was reacting to the extension of lockdown.
Reacting to the incident where migrant labours gathered at Bandra railway station in Mumbai demanding homecoming Akhilesh said that the state government should immediately appoint a nodal officer and talk to other states to get the labours out from there.

He said that when rich can be brought back by flights why cant the labours also brought back home. In a tweet Akhilesh demanded the state government to take out the people stranded in other states. He said that the Uttar Pradesh government should talk to the central government and get people back home.
It may be mentioned that Modi government on Tuesday extended the lockdown till May 3 and soon after this announcement labours in large number came on the roads in Mumbai demanding they be sent home. The labours are upset about lockdown extension.
In fact they are unable to get food even once a day. The migrant labours in Bandra have nothing to eat. Akhilesh has however said that lockdown will be followed by the people as they have done in the past.
