Recent tour of Priyanka Gandhi the general secretary of the Congress party has increased the bustling in the state unit of the party. Workers who were in a depressed mood have once again got the energy and are out with flags among farmers. The workers are taking forward the party’s agenda and message.
The race to regain the lost ground has started via farmers in the state. Workers who were busy in the month long ‘Kisan Janjagran Abhiyaan’ are now excited and feel the post Holi schedule of Priyanka Gandhi to hold meetings in four pockets of the state will bring more energy in to the party’s state unit.
On the CAA Congress has been working hard and in a recent twist it turned towards farmers. On February 6 the baton of the campaign was handed over the state chief Ajay Kumar Lallu by Priyanka Gandhi. The campaign aims to touch 2.5 crore farmers in 40 days and about 3000 workers are engaged in the campaign. The workers are taking stock of situation from the disgruntled common man.
According to Lallu till now about 70% of the farmers have been made to fill a demand note and Priyanka Gandhi is taking stock of the campaign progress regularly. Along with Lallu other senior leaders of the party too are taking tour of different parts of the state to monitor the campaign.
Lallu claimed the 2.5 crore target will soon be achieved. Lallu who is excited about the progress said post Holi the campaign will speed up and shall be extended beyond 40 days too.
Lallu said that during the campaign demand note has been filled by farmers and from party office phone calls are made to communicate with them and the preparations of rally of Priyanka is also being done.
