News Desk

Social worker Harsh Mander is in trouble for one of his speech and raising doubts over the judiciary might prove costly for him. he has demanded FIR against BJP leaders for hate speeches during the Delhi election but the Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to hear activist Harsh Mander’s plea till the controversy over his speech that allegedly criticised the top court was sorted out.

A Bench headed by CJI SA Bobde said till the controversy over his objectionable speech is sorted out, it will not take up Mander’s plea.

Court has said this after a video that went viral came up in which Mander allegedly had raised question over judiciary and said, we have no faith in judiciary but we will go there as we have no choice. But, ultimate justice will be done on the street.

Karuna Nandi the lawyer of Mander gave explanation to the court and said that Mander had not said anything like this. The court however told the lawyer that unless she produces the hate speech transcript before the court his application will not heard. The charges upon him are serious.

“Who all have violated the majesty of law? We want to know,” the court said. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said Mandar had given a speech criticising the top court. He gave a transcript of speech by Mander in Jamia. Also gave a old application in which he appealed the judges to be loyal to the nation.

Mander had demanded FIR against leaders for provocative speeches during the election. The Bench asked Mehta to authenticate his allegations against Mander by an affidavit.
