90-yrs woman test positive for coronavirus in Lucknow

Lucknow: A nonagenarian woman has tested positive for coronavirus in Lucknow and is said to be the eldest patients in the state to have tested positive.

The woman was admitted to a private hospital city by her son who himself is a doctor. The hospital in city’s Lalbagh area is a listed one for COVID isolation facility. The woman was brought to this hospital on Wednesday morning.

She was admitted to the hospital with the complaint of breathlessness and the doctors after examining her decided to conduct test.

They took sample and sent it to the lab, while taking precaution under the ICMR protocol for patients of severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) laid down by the ICMR. The medical team that examined the woman had PPE kits and other protection on.

The report came and it was informed to the office of the chief medical officer, Lucknow. The health teams decided to shift the woman to PGI for treatment and the hospital was sanitized. In Uttar Pradesh 2211 patients have tested positive till now and in India total 33610 people have tested positive till now.

Agra in the state has reported maximum 468 cases. Noida 141 has reported while Saharanpur 187 has reported cases and Lucknow has reported 206 cases.
