LUCKNOW. Santosh murat singh , who had already died 20 years ago in the files of revenue department was about to contest the assembly election from varanasi, but his paper was canceled due to some deficiency in the affidavit.
After the cancellation of nomination, santoash did a high voltage drama in varanasi collectorate. he sought justice by holding the feet of ADM gulab chandra. even then, when things do not work out, he started raising slogans sitting infront of the police jeep.
the police arrested him on charges of disturbing the peace and sent him to jail. but santosh was happy going to jail because now he will be able to easily prove that he is alive.
Santosh murat singh has been declared dead in the revenue records. the tenants have possession of his land. he is constantly trying to prove that he is alive but on one in the system is ready to believe it. because of this , he is not able to take possession of his land .
Santosh , who is contesting to prove himself alive , alleged that his nomination was deliberately canceled as people fear that he would win the election . santosh says that he has voter ID card .
Adhar card is there but the revenue department is not ready to accept it alive . santosh , a resident of chitauni village of chaubepur , varanasi , has been contesting elections since 2012 .
his only motive is to prove him alive and that his occupied land should be returned to him. now the police have send him to jail on the charges of breach of peace. so he is happy that perhaps because of this trial , he will get the prove of his being alive.
