The perpetrators (Sandeep, Ramu, Ravi and Luvkush) in the alleged gangrape case of Hathras wrote to SP on Thursday, the letter restated that they have been falsely accused by the victim’s family.
Their were three major things flagged in their letter, among the four perpetrators, the prime perpetrator, Sandeep quoted that he was friends with the victim and on the day of the incident he met her in the field, her family was upset because of this friendship and in retrospect of which on the day of the incident victim was maltreated by her mother and brother, because of which she lost her life latter.
Letter also quoted that they didn’t attempted rape on victim neither they assaulted her in any such way, they also demanded an unbiased investigation on the narrative.
The letter has been signed by all the four perpetrators in the Hathras alleged gangrape case. The four said, “We are innocent”.
It can be clearly pointed out from the letter of the perpetrators that they are calling it a case of honour killing.
On September 14, the victim along with her family were cutting grass on a nearby field in their village in Boolgarhi. While her family members were busy working she was allegedly taken away by a group of four men after which she was raped and thrashed.
The 19 year old had severe injuries. She was rushed to the hospital where she was given first aid but as her condition deteriorated she was shifted to Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital, where on 29th September the girl succumbed to her injuries.
Aftermath of which there were massive political outrage and protests, and the case catched fire between political parties, so to avoid any further outrage, the girl’s body was cremated at night without the presence of her family.
Since then, protests have intensified with demands for CBI probe. Appeals have also been filed in Supreme Court.
